Folding knife

I know what you’re gonna say, so don’t even bother. “What about pocket knives”? Sure they’re lightweight and convenient, but you’re normally restricted to a very small blade. When you’re a builder or a plumber you sometimes need something a little more durable and heavy duty. There are a number of different folding-wallet-knife brands to choose from and most of them come in a handy credit card shape so it’s super-easy to slip in your wallet. Brands include:

Whether it’s the Pocket Monkey or the Wallet Ninja (both ingenious names) this nifty gadget has it all: Box opener, hex wrenches, screwdriver, ruler, phone stand, and a whole lot more. There’s even a bottle opener for celebrating a completed job, and a can opener. You know, in case you fancy some tinned tuna. Brands include: Wallet Ninja, Pocket Monkey

Wallet cell phone

Of all the wallet-sized gadgets on this list, this is the one that’s going to make you feel most like an international spy. Key-finder

There’s nothing worse when you’re rushing to the site or your next job and you can’t find your keys. WARNING: this is not a solution if you’ve already lost your keys and are looking for ways to find them. Brands include: 2-Way FOFA Key Finder

Portable cutlery

Building sites and on the road jobs aren’t the best stocked when it comes to cutlery. As long as you’re not trying to cut anything too tough this mini knife and fork should be a welcome addition to your pocket arsenal. Brands include: Card Cutlery

Wallet axe

This isn’t really a necessary tool for tradespeople – but it is insanely cool! Made of 12 gauge stainless steel, the wallet axe is much more than just an axe.
